It feels like he is resigning after taking time off. I can't remember WWE flat out talking about somebody's contract coming to an end since CM Punk in 2011.

Everything about this feels like Vince's response to all the "who is asking for a release/going to AEW" buzz.

I'm sure on next weeks Raw Graves and Cole will be bugging Renee about it on commentary, which if this was real they surely wouldn't be promoting the fact he is leaving and may go to the competition.
