"WWE is saddened by the death of Ashley Massaro, and we reiterate our condolences to her family. However, we regret that her attorney Konstantine Kyros, who filed multiple cases against WWE, lost all of them, and was sanctioned multiple times by the Court for repeated misconduct and false allegations, is using Ashley’s death to further his malicious campaign against WWE by releasing an affidavit that she submitted to the Court and later apologized to WWE for being involved with, so we wish to make certain things crystal clear.

At no time was Vince McMahon or the management of WWE ever informed by Ashley Massaro or anybody else that she had been sexually assaulted, drugged, raped or sodomized by a military doctor with a nurse standing guard while on a goodwill tour in 2007 to U.S. military bases in Kuwait. In fact, if she ever articulated such a claim to WWE, we would have reported it immediately to the Base Commander.

At no time was there ever a meeting with Vince McMahon, Kevin Dunn, John Laurinaitis or other company executives in which she told them of such a claim and was instructed to keep it quiet."

The 39-year-old Massaro died of an apparent suicide last Thursday at her Long Island, NY, home.

Massaro was one of 60 wrestlers Kyros represented in a concussion-related lawsuit that was filed in 2016. After it was thrown out of court last fall, an appeal is set to be heard in July. WWE provided the New York Post with an email from Massaro sent last October in which she apologized for being part of the lawsuit and said Kyros "poached" her. He said he never saw the email and that she never withdrew from the case.

This past year has brought about many backstage changes to WWE. It started in February when WWE brought back Bruce Prichard to a full-time creative position. From there, Jeff Jarrett and Dana Warrior were added to the creative team while R.D. Evans, Kazeem Famuyide, and others left and Road Dogg stepped down as head writer of SmackDown. WWE has also cycled in and out producers with Abyss, Sonjay Dutt and Gregory Helms joining the team and Arn Anderson and Dean Malenko departing.

With all the changes behind the scenes, it's easy to wonder how that affects the creative process. WWE Co-President George Barrios wouldn't put much stock into the changes.

"What gives me confidence is that we've been creating stars and putting smiles on people's faces for a long time. You're always looking to get better in terms of your process and tools you're using. We've got a lot of great talent and we try to supplement that over time. I wouldn't put too big a spotlight on (creative hires)," Barrios said during a JP Morgan Investors Conference. "The most important asset we have is our talent. So, what should we be focused on, what's going to move the needle and what's the best way to engage in our fanbase?"

Lesnar is currently scheduled to announce his cash-in decision on Monday's RAW and then may return for the final episode before Super ShowDown, which would be the June 3 episode, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer noted that Lesnar will then work Super ShowDown, but after that we likely won't see him until around SummerSlam time in August, to set up his match for that pay-per-view.

The plan has been for Lesnar to face Rollins at Saudi Arabia, as far back as around WrestleMania 35 time. It is possible that WWE announces Lesnar vs. Rollins as a regular match, and have him keep the briefcase, but that seems unlikely.
