I'm not against giving Superman a serious treatment and avoiding the campy stuff, but at the same time, making him intentionally 'dark' seems to ignore the very basics of why the character works. That, and I still have a bad taste in my mouth from when the comics tried it in the 90s.

And yeah, as much as I'd love to see Lex Luthor get a more serious reboot, I think it's high time the spotlight went to, say, Brainiac.
