Shane works really well (from what I’ve seen) as the promoter/fight organizer. It kind of ties in his awful commentary run, his referee work, his desire to buy the UFC and him being an ageing gen-xer into this pretty entertaining character. You can believe this guy would still have scantily clad women in his club and would be making shit up as he goes along.
