I'm going to ride past the Aladdin shit, and focus on this. I need to word what I say carefully for the comparison I'm about to make*, but this is very akin to the Owen Hart thing, and good on Ali for standing his ground on that, even to Vince.
Keeping him under contract is pretty petty, though. Especially when the place just got done firing a bunch of people who expected to have a job. And to the comment of "it could be a work", remember, this is the same company who did an angle about firing people AND REALLY RELEASED THEM!
