For the second time in the last three weeks, SmackDown was down year-over-year. So far in 2018, the show is down an average of one percent as compared to the same time period last year.

One of CMLL’s biggest stars will be next to challenge the Ring of Honor champion.
It was announced on Ring of Honor’s website that Ultimo Guerrero will challenge Dalton Castle for the Ring of Honor world title at New York City Excellence on June 2. It would be the first time a CMLL star has challenged for the title since the company forged a relationship with Ring of Honor back in 2016.
They did an angle back at the 16th anniversary show where Ultimo Guerrero stole the ROH title during a match with him and Volador Jr. against Jay Lethal and Dalton Castle. He later handed it back, with announcers speculating that he might want a title match down the line.
Titan, also from CMLL, has been signed for the event. He is set to face Cody.

We are told that this doesn't necessarily mean all PPVs will be timed to run four hours exactly. It is most likely that the shows will run in the area of three hours to three and a half hours, although the company will have the ability to go longer or shorter as needed.
As we wrote a few days ago, major franchise events like Wrestlemania and Summerslam will obviously go much longer than the three hour-plus window.

At this point in time, it’s a problem because they don’t have him in the Title picture but they need to keep him strong. They could put him in a credible feud with Brock Lesnar or Seth Rollins very easily. If it’s me, I have one of those two beat Lesnar and free the Title belt, and then have the new champ feud with the other guy. Plus you can always have other guys feud with him. That is the beauty of booking, you can tell a story if you do it properly.
