What a second half collapse by the A's. Really sucks, it's a likable bunch. At least if they get in the Wild Card they have a great group of starters to choose from for the one-game playoff.

Biggest surprise was how the trades for both the Tigers and A's didn't really provide the big boosts the experts were expecting.
A's hitting declined badly with the loss of Cespedes while the Tigers hit a really bad slump and for a while lead to them handing the division away to KC.
