In a recent episode on Sony's QORE, new details were revealed for the multiplayer aspect of the upcoming Twisted Metal game with matches allowing the complete destruction of a map and game modes such as destruction derby-style races.

4 factions, 5 multiplayer modes, and 15 vehicles were confirmed to be selectable at the start with more content set as in-game unlockables. So far there are no plans for DLC content so all the unlockable content can be access without the need for actual monetary purchases.

Quote:
Vehicles
* Crimson Fury
* Darkside
* Death Warrent
* Juggernaut
* Junkyard Dog
* Kamikaze
* Meat Wagon
* Outlaw
* Reaper
* Road Boat
* Roadkill
* Shadow
* Sweet Tooth
* Talon
* Vermon

Faction Leaders
* Clowns
* Dolls
* Holy Men
* Skulls

Game Modes
* Hunted
* Last Man Standing
* Nuke (A Capture the Flag-esque game where players capture faction leaders and drag them behind their vehicles.)
* Team Death Match
* Team Last Man Standing
David Jaffe stated a lot of work was done for the single/campaign part of the game with a lot more variety and cutscenes added than in previous Twisted Metal games. He also stressed not to get too hyped up about the single player because while it has a lot of story it isn't comparable to the content and stories found in games such as Batman Arkham City, Skyrim, or other bigger status games.

The game is still set for a release date of February 13 for the PS3.
