Unlike Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, which traditionally do bad numbers, Christmas doesn't seem too bad and New Year's night historically has done okay, as it's a big night for overall television viewing, but usually has strong college football competition.

10 p.m. 2.54 million viewers

RAW also lucked out of NFL having a poor choice of games for the night and avoiding going against Cavs-Warriors for the NBA's set of games. Wasn't as lucky for rankings since their highest hour was #6.

Hideo Itami tweeted that he hopes Brian Kendrick gets well soon after accidentally breaking Kendrick’s nose and orbital bone with a GTS on Raw. AJ Styles, Randy Orton & Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn & Jinder Mahal was the dark match after SmackDown and 205 Live last night. Daniel Bryan was the special guest referee for it and did a comedy spot where he ran the ropes with Zayn.
Goldberg, Cesaro, and Zelina Vega are all celebrating their birthday today. Goldberg turned 51, Cesaro turned 37, and Vega is now 27.
Mae Young Classic participant Jazzy Gabert (Alpha Female) will be the guest on Friday’s episode of the Edge & Christian podcast.

A six woman tag during the WWE Holiday Tour at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, Long Island was halted after Paige was taken out by a kick to the back of her neck from Sasha Banks and went down.
According to several readers, Paige had her back to Banks and it appeared she didn't realize the kick was coming. Paige was out of the ring for a long time following a neck surgery in 2016.
The match was stopped and officials immediately tended to Paige, who was walked to the back after several minutes. WWE officials had brought a stretcher to ringside but Paige was walked out.
The scene was described as "awkward" and "serious" and did not appear to be the planned finish for the match.

There are a lot of rumors out there saying that may be his goal with the stock sale. He may want to buy the Panthers, and he is originally from the area, but he will need a lot more than 100 million dollars. Forbes has them valued at $2.3 billion so Vince would need a lot more money to make that purchase on his own. It could be that he wants to be a minority partner. If so, I don’t understand why he would need to form a new company to do that. From where I sit, buying into an NFL team is not something that would drive away stockholders. Starting the XFL again? Obviously that would be. My hope is that if it's a decision between buying the Panthers or retstarting the XFL, he does the former.
