That’s because it was shot on 35mm film via Panavision Millennium XL2 and similar cameras.

People don’t realize how better films look when they’re shot on film. I’m glad certain franchises like Star Wars, Star Trek, DC etc. are committed to the medium. Not to mention Nolan and Tarantino who have special screenings for film projection.
