People who think Superman is stupid and lame will never be sated and I say fuck em. You can't make movies to the whims those kinds of people. Superman Returns; too boring. Man of Steel; too much action/destruction. You just can't get some people.
Superman has never been a favorite, but that's because he is hard to write for, and a lot of stuff I've read just didn't do it for me.

That said, there have been stories I've really enjoyed. All Star, Kingdom Come, and Brainiac for example. They're just few and far between for me.
