Yet another reason he should not be celebrated. He publicly denigrated AEW for 2 and a half years while he was trying to get back into WWE.
He tried to go back to WWE, they said no. He tried to get in by getting that hosting gig with Fox, WWE said no again. Fox offered to pay his WWE contract with the only condition being that Punk be on Smackdown and not Raw, WWE said no yet again.
Then suddenly, AEW is "pro wrestling" and Punk is back! And guess what is back on the menu... FEDBAD! FEDBADing is his rallying cry, and the Cultist just eat it up.
Celebrate a guy who failed at everything he tried, MMA, Acting, Comic Books, Reality TV, and even including getting WWE to take him back. Celebrate a guy who didn't want anything to do with the Dub and talked all that shit. Celebrate a guy who is only there because he realized he can milk a bunch of money from a mark billionaire's son and get a big push despite it all.
Everything he says is bullshit, everything about him as a tough guy is bullshit, and luckily there is a niche audience that will see all that bullshit and lap it up as eagerly as Tiny Khan's nose does when presented cocaine.
