My guess is that will be fleshed out in a separate series. Sort of like how this and The Mandalorian weave in and out. I'm guessing there will be various different shows doing this, almost like the Marvel Netflix shows. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they

made a series on Mayfeld, from Operation Cinder, to what happened after Djin left that crew on the prison freighter, to after he "died in that explosion" leading to some cause that "helps him sleep at night".
