That's the thing. By simply assuming that 200 people were going to "act like jackasses" and denying them entry, they've ensured more people will do exactly that in the future in an intentional act of trolling. That's some wrestling 101 shit; tell the fans not to do something, and that makes them do it harder. If WWE would have no-sold this rally, they remove the potential to make it a thing. Like when they tried to quell CM Punk chants by saying he was a quitter instead of just letting it run its course.Fans prolonged that shit do to spite that they brought upon themselves because, by addressing it, they made it seem like what was happening was a work and leading to some grandiose return - and if it was, in fact, the shoot it ended up being, just cast the company in a super petty light that, once again, the fans can rebel against.
