Feel he'd still eventually leave. One of the main reasons why he departed back in 2004 was him no longer feeling motivated for wrestling since he had achieved everything he wanted to do in such a short period of time.

Him staying around even for a short period of time likely causes the Cena era to never happen. Lesnar leaving when he did combined with Orton's struggles to become the next mega star gave Cena that golden opportunity to fill the void. If Lesnar is still around, Vince doesn't have that desire to find a replacement or have anyone be at his level like he did when Cena was on top.
