ESA confirmed Ars Technica report of this year's E3 being cancelled and the official reason due to coronavirus health concerns.
Also stated they are considering plans for E3 to be a potential digital event instead this year.

The ESA will reach out to exhibitors and attendees with further information regarding refunds and cancelled plans The group is also "exploring options" with regards to delivering news via an online event in E3's stead.
