No but they played a major role in the wrestling renaissance there being quickly extinguished. Combo of WWE desperately wanting to get their grubby hands all over it and UK companies being too naive on Triple H's motives for the region and NXT UK.

ITV also helped damage it but to a much lesser degree than WWE with how badly they botched World of Sport's revival.

A few UK companies were on shaky legs even during the wrestling renaissance so they likely weren't going to last anyways. The whole scene suffering almost all at once can be directly traced back to WWE trying to hog as much of the pie as possible even if it meant screwing over their affiliates.
