To anyone that hasn't yet seen The Mist, or enjoyed it, I reccomend seeing it in black and white.
It was intended to be released that way, and was shot to have a lot of bright lighting and such to suit it. The studio didn't want to allow it though. It looks fantastic. The special effects look top notch because they weren't meant to be seen in full color. It's great because it has a classic horror movie feel and just suits the tone of the film wayyyy better.
The dvd I bought features the B&W version.
