Forgetting about the No Mercy stuff since they were both involved, Trips has the far more stat padding.

He was given a World Title once because just because the WWE Champ became Smackdown only.
He lost a title to Vince McMahon who instantly gave the title up, only for HHH to win it right back.
He was stripped of a title because of a draw in a Triple Threat match, then win it back, even though there was no other champion in between.
He hotshotted a title to his best friend and then win it right back.
He won one in a Royal Rumble match he wasn't even announced for.

That is 5 alone right there. I agree Orton is a close 2nd in terms of stat padding, but Trips is the King.
