After spending some time with the game today, I can say the new tweaks are a definite improvement. Just the option of fusion rifle in the Elemental spot's taken lost sector bosses that used to feel like a chore, and made them something you can take out in 4-5 shots.
If they were going for "make the game feel like the 1st Destiny again", they nailed it.
