I think I may have stated elsewhere, but I feel it was the "luck" of it.

It was an issue I had with both Jessica Jonse S2 and Punisher; the truckloads of happenstance from different ends of the same spectrum.

For Jessica, there was a lot of stars lining up to shit on her with critical failure after critical failure. It was like, as kT put it, "trauma porn". Punisher, on the other hand, had far too many instances where unlikely strokes of good luck got Frank out of a jam more than any of his badass military training or ruthless instincts. He did all that he did in the first few minutes of the first episode to establish what he was doing with calculated precision, but then he goes on to be sloppy and reckless but okay because apparently he has a horsehoe up his ass.
