“It's funny that when people talk about it to me, some will say, 'Well, isn't that the downfall of NXT because when a superstar becomes big enough that he's immediately going to be taken away from you?' I feel that's the strength of the brand."

He further elaborated and said that NXT provides an opportunity for talent to showcase themselves to a segment of the audience before debuting on the main roster.

“Then, if you're following NXT, you're ahead of the curve when they come to Raw and SmackDown. You know everything about them and their backstories. It's like being a fan of the band before they hit it big.”

Levesque, described in the interview as the father of NXT, also raved about the unique talent that is Shinsuke Nakamura.

“Shinsuke brings something to the table that I haven't seen for a long time. He brings a level of charisma, a level of showmanship, that you don't see a lot of times with guys that have an aggressive style, with the striking and skill set, that he does.”

If they are ever going to do that match, and it's been teased for years, next year is the time with the show in Orlando. Miz and Maryse were walking around with their belts per order of management, but New Day didn't have to do so. Flair is friends with Cena and Charlotte went because Ric did. Big E often trains with Cena so they got the New Day in. Henry is close with Cena. Show was sent for the angle with Shaq, while Miz and Maryse live in Los Angeles.

Lost in the shuffle of all the news yesterday is how well John Cena did as the host of the ESPY awards. It was pretty clear watching it, with all the WWE references in the monologue, that this was an attempt to try and make pro wrestling acceptable to sports fans by joking about its lack of reality and its characters like Vince McMahon.

It looks like USADA isn’t done with Brock Lesnar just quite yet.

MMAFighting.com is reporting that because Lesnar is still technically a member of the active UFC roster, he will continue to be drug-tested by USADA.

Apparently Lesnar must formally inform USADA that he is once again officially retired from UFC competition to get the drug tests to stop.

“To my knowledge, Brock Lesnar has not notified USADA of his retirement from the UFC,” Madden said to Marc Ramondi of MMA Fighting. “Therefore, he remains subject to USADA testing and the UFC anti-doping policy.”

Brock Lesnar made his Octagon return at the historic UFC 200 event this past weekend, defeating top-ten ranked heavyweight contender Mark Hunt via unanimous decision in the co-main event of the evening.
Could affect future plans the WWE has with Lesnar until he retires again since USADA would take priority for drug testing regardless what the Wellness Policy allows. Also might make it harder for Lesnar to unretire later on since he might lose the testing exemptions he got for the Hunt fight.

TNA sources claim $75,000 and it’s a similar deal to the one the company has attempted but not yet signed with the Hardys, Ethan Carter III and Drew Galloway but does have with Eddie Edwards, Davey Richards, Lashley and some others where TNA will try to recoup the money by having the rights to book him on a maximum 110 total dates per year with the remainder being indie dates. He retained his rights to book himself out of the contract with certain indie groups but TNA has the rights to book him with all others.
Some details regarding the deal Moose signed with TNA.

This was not meant as a blow-off but as a start of something new. Hopefully it doesn’t end up like the Angle/Samoa Joe shoot direction that got over so well, did a record buy rate for the company, and was then dropped cold and turned back into a normal pro wrestling program. Senor Benjamin isn’t actually Matt’s gardener, but he’s his father-in-law who they are now going to try and market. Everyone in wrestling ended up talking about it and it’s the first time TNA has had this kind of a buzz in a long time. The entire WWE creative team watched it together which led to the copy. It will also be replayed in longer form on the first Thursday night show and they will be doing an overrun that night

  • WWE recently signed a deal with card manufacturer Topps for a new series of WWE digital trading cards. http://www.topps.com/topps-apps/To
  • Dolph Ziggler recently had an interview with Fox News and the topic involving how the 2016 Presidential Election race is comparable to wrestling. http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2016/...h-america.html
  • According to a recent Observer Radio show, John Cena is likely following an Orton route in regards to working fewer house shows. Currently only has 6 house shows booked from now till November.
  • In a "WWE Did You Know" type fact, Charlotte currently has the most ppvs wins out of everyone in the current Women's division and 4th most wins all-time.
