It depends what JR said. If he said they are kicking the WWE’s ass, then I don’t see how the quote is taken out of context. If he said NXT, then he’s still being an idiot because he should see the long game. And winning by 150k viewers is not kicking ass, nor does it even guarantee that AEW is making TNT more money than a cheaper, PG NXT.

I don’t think he used his wife’s death for a sympathy job. It wouldn’t surprise me if Jan’s passing has affected JR really deeply and caused him to want to go out there and do more. Keep busy, etc. I don’t agree with those comments.

JR being an idiot about this “war,” yes. JR’s relationship with WWE, no. I hope he gets out of AEW soon though. I could see FOX wanting him to be the commentator on SmackDown. If he can get the money, then it’s that plus more exposure for him.
