WWE didnt owe Dean anything. The moment they knew he was really leaving, they could have benched him. Instead they ran him out there in storylines and produced " going away " pieces for WWE network. As petty as Vince is these days, there is no way Vince would sign off on all that bullshit, knowing Dean Ambrose was headed to AEW.
Did Ambrose wrestle at Mania? Legit don't remember and I skipped thru a lot of the show.
