There's a very good chance Suzuki actually requested not to work the G1 tournament because he can't bump that frequently. He also would have had to lose a lot so it worked out better for him really.

Makes sense to have him challenge in the UK too because he frequently does shows here with Rev Pro and he is incredibly popular, I mean everyone all the way down to your Yujiros are over in the UK, but Suzuki / Ishii / Okada are your non-native headliners.
