"Drew McIntyre has tested positive for COVID-19 and has been placed in quarantine," WWE announced on Monday afternoon. "Check back to WWE.com for more updates as they become available."

McIntyre had been set to face Randy Orton in a non-title match on tonight's episode of Raw. WWE had also hyped that McIntyre would address the challenge that was issued to him by Goldberg on last week's Legends Night edition of Raw. The main event segment of last week's Raw saw Goldberg make his return to WWE television and challenge McIntyre to a WWE Championship match at the Royal Rumble.

After McIntyre retained the WWE Championship against Keith Lee last week, Goldberg confronted McIntyre and challenged him to a title match at the Royal Rumble. The episode ended with Goldberg shoving McIntyre down to the ground.

The Royal Rumble is taking place on Sunday, January 31.

This is the first time that WWE has publicly announced that a member of their roster has tested positive for COVID-19.
