MSG pretty much no longer cares what WWE thinks for wrestling events at the venue. If AAA wants AEW at their event, MSG isn't going to stop them nor care if WWE feels upset. AEW ownership also has the money to force WWE to back down from any legal threats like Sinclair did for ROH.
WWE doomed themselves when they picked money over historical ties when they started to only hold events at the Barclays Center in NYC.
