It's unknown if Smash is a port or not, but at least we know there's new content at the very least. Not just the Inklings, but the silhouette of Link shows him in BOTW gear.

Personally, I think it's going to be like Splatoon 2. They port the base over so it feels similar, keep all the old stuff, add a lot of new stuff d then use it as a platform to bring free and paid DLC to for the rest of the generation.
