Memorable ejections in baseball movies...
Yeah, you read right. That is what I would like to discuss in this thread. The most memorable ejections from baseball games depicted in movies.
There are 2 I can remember that were particularly memorable for me. The first was from one of the Naked Gun movies. There was an assassination attempt planned on the Queen (who was watching in the stands) during the seventh inning stretch, and Leslie Nielsen was undercover as the plate umpire, and there were 2 outs in the top of the seventh. So he was instructed not to call the third out. Inevitably, the out came (I think it was a catch), and Leslie Nielsen called him safe. The field umpires all agreed it was out, and "EVEN THE GUY RUNNING THE SCOREBOARD SAYS HE WAS OUT", so Leslie Nielsen (plate umpire) starts arguing with his field umpires, and he ejects them all. Classic. The second one was from Major League II, when the Cleveland Indians were involved in a bench-clearing brawl. Only problem was, the other team wasn't involved, they were all fighting each other. So the plate umpire ejects the entire Indians dugout. Classic. 2 classic ejections from baseball games depicted in movies. What is your favourite 'ejection'? |

Well this one's about basketball not baseball,
Billy Crystal plays a NBA ref in this movie Forget Paris and he ejects Kareem Abdul Jabaar from the game. Kareem: You can't eject me, this is my farewell game! Bill: Well let me be the first to say, farewell. |

Charlie Sheen was ejected for hitting a batter. Nothing memorable, though. Just stuck him and he was out of there
