It was horrible... but I loved it (matches)

There has never been a shortage of horrible matches, but then there are some matches that you love even though the wrestling was bad or the ending made no sense. Post some of your favorite "horrible" matches here.

... soo, Piper won the match?

While not one of my favorite matches, the ending was definitely one of those "who won?" moments.

A Powerbomb match....what?

I guess you could pick any match from the Russo era and put it into this category. Straight vomit inducing.

The match that never really happened. Hogan and Warrior look so slow compared to their classic WM bout, not to mention that the smoke obscures half of what's going on, but how could you not love Warrior busting through that cage!

Come to think about it... just about any Warrior match. Rewatching them - as far as any discernable wrestling ability is concerned - they suck balls.

But damn if I don't still mark out every time I see the Warrior wrestle.

It's the Thundercage minus the slanted top. Piper had cut a promo saying a 15 foot cage couldn't hold them so they used that cage. Plus it gave Savage the ability to jump off of it with the slanted top removed. I believe it was also the last time that style cage would be used.

Since I'm ignorant and too lazy to google, what the ef is Thundercage? What's it's history?

It's first incarnation used in mainstream wrestling was used at Halloween Havoc 1989 and was known as the Thunderdome Cage. A match created by Kevin Sullivan in Championship Wrestling from Florida (CWF) inspired from the movie "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome". It was a 25 feet tall bar cage that was "electrified" around the top to prevent escape and slanted inward like a prison fence. The only way to win was to have the opposing team's "Terminator" throw in the towel. Sting and Ric Flair def. Great Muta and Terry Funk when Ole Anderson hit Gary Hart causing Hart's towel to hit special ref Bruno Sammartino.

The second incarnation was used at Capitol Combat 90. This time the cage was not "electrified" and was intended to be won by pin or submission. Lex Luger def. Ric Flair by DQ when the Horsemen took control of the cage lift and interfered.

The Chamber of Horrors match at Halloween Havoc....well was just horrible so I'm not even gonna bother.

Clash of the Champions XXII used the Thundercage as it's main attraction when Sting, Dustin Rhodes, and Cactus Jack def. Vader, Paul Orndorff, and Barry Windham.

The final time the Thundercage was used before Halloween Havoc 97 was SuperBrawl IV when it was used for 2 main event matches. The first saw Sting, Brian Pillman, and Dustin Rhodes def. Rick Rude, Paul Orndorff, and Stunning Steve Austin. The second had Ric Flair def. Vader for the WCW World Title with the Boss (Ray Taylor) as special ref.

In light of your comment, let me suggest this as well. D'Lo vs. Triple H. You know, I don't even think I can call this one bad. Only three minutes and I laughed my butt off. This was so bad it was good.
