Benoit wrestled years in the mainstream.... Danielson has appeared on national TV for less than a year..... easy decision..... still would have been an excellent match

In all seriousness, Benoit would have been beaten up throughout the match but eventually would have out lasted DB/BD. Would've been great to see

Gotta say Benoit, easily. He had some of the best matches ever, especially Royal Rumble 2003 with Kurt Angle, one of my all time favorite matches. You also can't erase his WHC win at Wrestlemania 20 in MSG.

I'm sure some people will cast their votes against Benoit because of what he did in his personal life, but I am totally unbiased on this one and looking strictly at his professional accomplishments, so to me, Benoit is the better wrestler.

For a number of years Benoit was my favourite wrestler, Danielson is in my top five currently. Got to go with Chris here. Both excellent in the ring though, Danielson even has the potential to surpass Benoit.

Looking strictly at professional work, went with the American Dragon on this one. Benoit was a great wrestler (but a shitty human being) but I just feel like Danielson has more tools in his arsenal.

Only focusing on the wrestling aspects of both wrestlers lives, Benoit was better. Amazing wrestler in both WCW and WWF/WWE while also being very popular in ECW and during his time in Japan. Mic skills might not have been the best but he managed to keep his submission moves as an important part of his character even while the WWE was dropping interest with submission moves by the early to mid-2000s.

Danielson does have a lot in common with Benoit in that both are "small" wrestlers in terms of the typical WCW-WWE view of the ideal wrestler. Both are well balanced in terms of using submissions and high flying moves to go along with mat-based wrestling. Both also come off as "tough" wrestlers since they have moves that appear to legitimately hurt people (ex. Benoit's chop, Danielson's kicks to the head and legs).

Benoit was over-rated before he murdered his family then himself. Bryan Danielson is better on the mic' and not a murderer.

Trying to remain objective and look at just their professional careers... I find that I can't.

Benoit no doubt has provided me with a greater amount of entertainment than Daniel Bryan has thus far, but all those memories are tainted.

So, in conclusion... I don't want to vote for Bentoit, but I can't vote for Daniel Bryan either.
