To consider Lashley as a world champ would be the same as saying Mark Henry, Matt Hardy, Chavo, Morrison, and Christian were all World Champs too and as we all know, in the eyes of Vince, being the ECW champ meant dick.

I myself am torn on it. When he won the title it was still being used credibly but when Morrison (and Vince) won it went down 1,000 points. How ever Jordan X's avatar also puts up a good argument.

WWECW World Title > NWA/TNA World Title. That being said, Lashey is not a former world champion, he is a from IC champion. That is what the ECW title is most like.

Well the ECW title was called the ECW World title when it was first exhumed from the grave wasn't it? I can't remember for sure...

Anyways, any holder of the ECW title (under the WWE revival) has a better claim to being a "World champion" than any holder of the TNA top strap over the years, maybe even to this day.

as for kurt angle.. i think he's become wwe champion for 8 or 9 times..

but the tna world champ count it on his former 12 time world champ..
so as for now? your a former champ..
