I actually really like In Flames' latest
I didn't think I would because Reroute to Remain was disappointing for me.. but it's actually a lot better then I expected.

I mean, yeah it is very "mainstream" and I guess "overproduced" but it's still a good album in my opinion, even if the song titles are retarded..

Anyway, give it a chance if you haven't.

In Search For I is an awesome song. It's a bitchslap to their old fans. They're basically saying "Yes, we can still write decent material, but why concern ourselves with songwriting when a few simple chords and techno effects will get us more fame?"

I'm DLing it right now just to see what it is all about.

The Quiet Place video is hilarious because Anders tries to look all dramatic and tortured, but his dumb ugly face just makes it LOL.

The title is ironic, too. "In Search For I"... they're looking for the real In Flames... the one that wrote great METAL songs.

Yeah but I saw them live (they put on a grrrrreat show, no matter what material they play), but I was too busy headbanging and moshing with DegenerationY to look at his face. Plus they had a shitload of strobe going on. Behind Space is the man live.

I just can't take him seriously when he tries to take the nu-metal whiny approach in videos. In Cloud Connected, it looks like he is baldly too, which makes the video comedic.

Not all metal frontmen can be as hot as Alexi Laiho or as badass as Chuck Billy.

Live Damage is awesome. Dark Tranquillity is the only melodic death metal band that has changed their sound to something awesome while incorporating electronics.

I'm closed minded for wanting another album that uses their songwriting potential to its maximum. I actually prefer what I've heard off the new one to most of Reroute to Remain, which I found insanely boring. That said, definately a band who've passed their peak quality wise.
