Clearly stolen from BE but...

What do you think about a super fight between Hendo and Fedor? Hendo is in a division that is very shallow so I'm not sure what the next challenge is for him.

And Fedor... Well, what does he have left? He's not too much bigger that Dan and he's coming off a loss that showed his size may be a factor.

I tend to like Fedor in it due to the stand-up game. This would be a huge fight for Strikeforce, and one that fans would probably pay to see.

I haven't been interested in Hendo except for the Bisping fight but any match with Fedor is a match I would like to see.

Everyone is curious as to what’s next for the once considered best fighter on the planet, Fedor Emelianenko. After a second straight loss last month, which happened to be only the second real loss of his career, Fedor has become unsure of where his MMA career will go from here. After his brutal loss to Antonio “Big Foot” Silva last month Fedor stated that maybe it was his time to move on from the sport. In a fight in which he was manhandled by the much bigger Silva, Fedor was battered by hammer fists while stuck in Silva’s mount. It was obvious that the size of Silva was a huge factor in Fedor’s inability to do much to defend himself, and after the fight it seemed that Fedor fighting such bigger men had finally caught up to him.

With his career now hanging by a thread in vicious winds and his age steadily creeping forward, it has been fairly unclear what Fedor or the promotion want to do next. With the Heavyweight Grand Prix in full swing throughout the rest of the year Fedor may not have many appealing choices for Heavyweight matchups.

However, just when we thought “The Last Emperor” might hang up the gloves we found out that there may be a very bright light at the end of Fedor’s suddenly dark tunnel.

Representatives from M-1 Global informed Fighters Only Magazine that Strikeforce has offered Mr. Emelianenko a title fight against the newly crowned Light Heavyweight Champion, Dan Henderson, at the end of the year. It was then confirmed that Fedor is strongly considering dropping down a weight permanently and taking the title fight with “Hendo”.

Fedor has always been a very small Heavyweight, but his power, accuracy, speed and agility have always kept him on the winning side of fights against bigger men. However, at 34 years old Fedor may be losing some of the snap that he held in his earlier fighting years. This is nothing against Fedor, but it’s just part of aging. Moving down a weight may even the playing field for the former PRIDE HW champion. Instead of being the smaller fighter and having to formulate a game-plan in hopes of eliminating the size difference, he will now have the luxury of being the bigger, stronger fighter. This move could be just the thing Fedor needs to catapult his career back into the stars, not to mention the excitement it would bring into the Strikeforce Light Heavyweight division.

With two consecutive losses by Fedor the Strikeforce head office was desperate to save their number one promotional draw from deflating completely, and a title offer at LHW may be just the thing to reignite the career and star-power of Fedor Emelianenko.

But let us not forget, Dan Henderson is a very strong, experienced, and game opponent that has beaten his share of bigger men throughout his career. The newly crowned Strikeforce LHW champ has no intention of letting the strap be ripped from his waist, but a classic matchup between the two former PRIDE champions could end up being an epic battle for the ages.

No definite plans have been drawn up at this point, but the idea is now out in the open, the offer has been given to Fedor, and the rest will have to play out with time. So what do the fans think of this move? Is moving to LHW the right move for Fedor and Strikeforce, or is Dan Henderson a bad matchup for “The Last Emperor”? Let’s hear the Fedor talks BJPenn.com!

Dont give a shit if its Fedor or not, nobody should be getting a title shot coming off 2 losses.
