don't believe for a second that people on TPWW legit believe Muta is better than Pillman at a 2:1 ratio you naughty children

like Muta a lot but I personally take Pillman. He was as much ahead of his time as anybody on a mainstream level. He was doing the Loose Cannon schtick at a time when Hogan was still fending off the Dungeon of Doom and Vader Vader Bombing Gorilla Monsoon was about as controversial as a Vince heel got. The business certainly started to head that way and Pillman was right at the "cutting edge". God knows what he could have done through the rest of 1996 and onwards if it hadn't been for the accident/injury. Love the guy far too much to not vote for him, the promos (oh the promos), the segments, the look, the voice, the talent bell to bell, the Hollywood Blondes, the stories (living the gimmick to the extent of going off on Vince at some convention thing before signing there, the time he made JR stand guard of a toilet cubicle so he could show the entire locker room his monster shit etc)

that ECW debut followed by getting chased away by Shane Douglas and some village people rejects? I respect you booker-man? Pillman's got a gun? I always end up fighting with the pencil? his matches with Liger? the Blondes vs. Steamboat and co.? the Hart Foundation? etc etc. Pillman was the man. One of the bigger tragedies of pro wrestling for me was never seeing him reach his potential.

Pillman basically got me into wrestling even before the loose cannon schtik. Flyin Bryan on WCW Saturday Morning over here on ITV is the reason I watched every week even after exposure to early 90's WWF that I could need get into.

Probably never vote against him.

Never seen much of either ones work with Muta mostly in WCW and Pillman in the WWF but went with Muta overall.

Pillman has some great accomplishments and really pulled the "loose canon" type wrestler very well but felt Muta had a lot more of the bigger accomplishments.

Probably would have leaned towards voting for Pillman had his WWF work lasted for a few more years which was cut short by his untimely death.

I feel like a lot of others in that Pillman's death really does come when he was stepping into his own with the "Loose Cannon" gimmick. Before he was a great wrestler, but nothing really stood out for me. When he did the gun angle it put him up there, but Muta just did so much innovation to a gimmick that was already good. If Pillman was still around I think I would have voted for him but as of now gotta go with Muta
