I agree witht he fact that Dave may not be the most talented vocalist out there, but DMB puts on a HELL of a live show. It's worth it to pay the price to be able to see and experience the shows.

I used to dislike him, but my roommate is a huge DMB fan...

His new album sucks but the rest of his catalogue is really quite good.

If you can find a decent quality version of his take on "All Along the Watchtower," give it a listen. Pretty good shit. Not the best, but hey, i've heard a lot worse.
