Word pad

I just got windows xp. I was at word pad and I can't find the spell check. Can someone help me find it.

Word Pad has a spell check?

Doesn't to my knowledge.

don't think it has one, it's just a more advanced version of notepad really, get microsoft word

I am new to this xp and I found "word pad" which looked a lot like microsoft word but with no spell check.

Wordpad has been around since Windows 98 (maybe earlier.)

It's basically just Microsoft Word lite.

Yeah there's no spell check in Word Pad. It's pretty much a more advanced Note Pad yet a 5th class Microsoft Word.

Can you download microsoft word cause it was on my 98 but I am not sure if we paid for it or what.I ran a search for it and it was not on my comp. now

You can download illegal copies of it or you could download a program called Open Office. It's pretty much Word without the crappy clipart and a different layout. It was made by Sun who are the ones with Java because they are working with Microsoft on Windows Longhorn for a whole 3D operating system. But that's nothing you need to worry about. The link is openoffice.org.
