The only way I could see one of them beating an AFC team is if Pittsburgh beats NE. I don't know why, but I have a bad feeling about Philly. I'm thinking if it came down to it though, Atlanta would beat Pittsburgh.

That being said, I'm still predicting NE/Philly, with the Pats winning.

I think at this point any of the teams left could beat any of the other teams left.

I don't think out of who is left you can pick a sure fire winner.

I think Philly would have a chance but Atlanta none at all. They only played like two or three playoff teams in the regular season, they haven't been tested at all. Running over the Rams D isn't something you need to brag about. If TO comes back for the Superbowl then its a possibility.

Yeah, I would say they got no shot. But it's the NFL here, anything can happen.

But I don't know, Steelers and Patriots both look a lot better then both the Eagles and Falcons.

Both of them can win. Both Philly and Atlanta have good defenses that could make Big Ben make mistakes especially on a neutral site and even more so if Atlanta is playing in Jacksonville. They also have potentially explosive offenses that can give NE defenders fits trying to cover everyone. I'd say the NFC teams match up better against Pittsburgh but they can beat NE too. Should be fun

I agree anyone can win, but the question I ask is if the Colts have the best offense in the league, should the Pats really have any trouble w/ Atlanta or Phillys offense?

Yeah I feel like the Patriots are invincible right now. I thought the Jets could actually beat them at the Meadowlands and the Jets got destroyed, and then I thought the Colts would definitely beat them and they shitted all over them too. I have like no more doubt in my mind.

I personally don't give a fuck if it's the Falcons, Patriots, or Steelers, just as long as someone stops those damn Eagles.

I think the AFC team will end up winning it all, but I just can't decide between the Steelers or Patriots.

Snow wasn't that big of a factor in this years game. It was much worse conditions last year, that was pretty light snow on Sunday.

But true the game wouldn't be in Foxboro where the Patriots are unbeatable.

I think that the Falcons could beat either of them. THey have strong D, Eagles would have no shot.

I'm not giving the Falcons much of a chance at beating the Eagles, and even less for the AFC champs. I think the end of Big Ben's streak has come, because when you look at what Tom Brady did last week you just can't choose a rookie, especially one who looked real shaky last week, to win there.

I just think that the Falcons are the most overrated team. Take a look at their regular season schedule:

In 16 games, they only played four playoff teams, going 3-1 in those games. If you look a little closer, when they beat the Chargers they weren't established yet, the Rams and Seahawks didn't deserve to even be in the playoffs, and Denver was the 6th seed in the AFC. I will give them Carolina as a big win, because Carolina was arguably the best team in the NFC at the time, but besides that I am not impressed at all by their regular season. With a schedule that easy they should have won 14.

Then they had an impressive day against St. Louis last week, am I the only one to see that and yawn? Beating St. Louis is not a feat at all, they have such a bad defense and were completely wiped out from the week before. It may give them confidence going into next week, but it doesn't prove that they are a great team right now.

Finally, its become cliche to hear "The Falcons are not a one man team" when in fact they still are. Yeah, this season they won some games as a team, but against who, San Francisco, Arizona, New York Giants? When it comes down to a game against a good team, Michael Vick has to play outstanding or else they won't win. If it wasn't for his heroics they wouldn't have beat the Panthers.

I think that Philly will be as motivated as ever to break their string at home and go onto the Super Bowl this year, and unless Michael Vick runs for 200 yards the Falcons are going home empty.

You guys are really good at taking things out of context. For the Falcons to win a big game, Michael Vick has to perform at his peak. That makes them a one man team in my book. If Michael Vick gets injured this week and can't play in the NFC Championship, everybody here turns on the Falcons and gives them no chance. If any of those other guys gets injured, the effect would be much less. When one player is so important to your teams success, that makes you a one man team. Of course those players can put up stats, focus your attention back on their schedule. They didn't play one elite team in football this season and they played all of the worst teams in the league. Michael Vick holds the outcome of this game in his hands, if he doesn't perform to his peak this weekend, the Falcons have no chance, which is why they are a one man team.

The Eagles could be called a one man team based on their current conditions and my definition, but personally I would call them a much more complete team as a whole. The one difference between the two quarterbacks, is that if Michael Vick has an average day his team won't win, if Donovan McNabb has an average day his team might win. If he goes out it will fuck his team over, especially with TO out, but he alone doesn't do what Vick alone does for the Falcons.

The reason that the Patriots and the Steelers are so much better is because they are complete teams, any way you look at it. The Patriots have so many great players that play as a complete team that they can completely stop one of the top offenses in the history of the league despite not having two starting defensive backs. Each of those teams are packed with talent on both sides of the ball, and enough so that they don't have to rely on one single person. Atlanta can get yards with the D and D of the DVD, but without the V they are a 500 team at best. I believe that the Eagles are a more complete team, even without Terrell Owens, have better coaching, and more experience, that is why they will win the game.

(Edit: just because I know Eagles fans will take that out of context, any contending team would be in the same situation as the Eagles if they lost their starting QB, not just the Eagles. I just think the Falcons would be in the worst situation of any team.)


Honestly Supreme, you seem like you are really confident that the Falcons are going to win, so respond to my points not random sentences.

-The Falcons have an inflated record and stats because they had the most cupcake schedule in the league, including playoffs
-Mike Vick is the primary reason the Falcons can win big games, and if he doesn't perform outstanding against the Eagles they will not win

My argument from the start was that the Falcons are unproven because they haven't played a real team all year and that Michael Vick singlehandedly determines the outcome for their team, not that he is the only good player. You can quote me, I didn't read mine too close, I may be wrong, but I just think the Falcons are overrated because they played a soft schedule.

I am a very big Eagles fan, and honestly, i believe that this is the easiest road to the superbowl in the last four years that they have ever had. Not taking anything away from Atlanta, but Vick is going to get HIT about 3 times in the game and will flinch. QUOTE ME. That team is not a superbowl team. Falcons are basically a watered down version of the Colts. In both instances, the teams would SUCK without their star QB's.....and we all saw what happened with the Colts.

The Pats are solid in every single area.

Eagles are a solid team (even without Owens), but the Pats are just on a completely different level. Steelers are probably the only team that have a realistic chance in beating the Pats........but even with that being said, they look shaky last week. Their rookie QB looked like a rookie last week.
