Well, when I first started, I only watched Nitro for a while, but then I eventually drifted over to RAW after a few months. I, with I bet many people, would watch the first hour of Nitro (8:00) and then change over and start taping RAW. I've taped almost every RAW since about 1998. I couldn't tell you where all the tapes are, but I probably still have most of them.

Raw and Nitro would go head to head on TV here too, on Friday nights, but I was a complete Raw viewer, I'd watch the first hour of Nitro, but as soon as Raw came on, I'd change channel.

Channel 5 also did a weekly one-hour WCW show. I knew I'd never watch Nitro when I saw Russo come out in that armoured outfit and have Goldberg spear him through a cage on that show. For me, that was no competition for Rock, Austin and Mankind over on Sky Sports.

That's when the Monday night wars suck. Nothing compares too 1995-1998. Nitro was actually the best show wrestling wise until Benoit,Eddie,Saturn, and Dean left. The storylines started to suck around 1999.

Saturn? seriously? you mean he was good before the whole mop angle. I was never a real WCW mark (which I kinda thank myself for) so I never really got to see the guy.

I live in the US

I would usually watch Nitro the most from 95-early 98. The only time I watch Raw when HBK,Austin,Hart Foundation,HHH,Goldust,Taker,Mankind and Ahmed was on the screen. WCW from 96-98 was the most complete wrestling company ever. Today's roster can't even F' with WCW from 96-98.

To think on September 4th of this year, it will be the 10th Anniversary. These years went by fast.

WWE should release a second DVD of the Monday Night Wars featuring matches and other classic segments.
Hogan vs.Luger from 8/4/97
Cactus Jack vs.HHH from 97
Hart vs.Austin streetfight
HHH/HBk vs.Mankind/Taker
Benoit vs.Bret Hart
Mankind vs.Rock 1/4/99
Austin vs.Big Show from early 99,I was so hype about that match
The first Nitro
The first Raw against Nitro which was on Sept.11 1995,the week after Nitro debut

I was watching the Monday Nights War dvd yesterday. This DVD never gets old. I can watch the DVD everyday. It bring back so much good memories. 96-98 was best time to be a wrestling fan ever. Those three years can't be match.

I don't understand why WWE put LOD vs.DX on the DVD. Out of all the matches they put that one on the DVD. Why was Booker T vs.Benoit on there?

I completely forgot about the Luger/Hogan match. That was the only time I ever really rooted for Luger. Whether or not Vince is still angry at Luger for leaving the way he did, that match was as big a no-brainer to put on the DVD as the Goldberg/Hogan one. Also, Flair vs. Sting from both the first and last Nitros, and Goldberg's debut vs. Hugh Morrus.

As for which company's show I watched during the wars, I usually found a way to watch both, but if I had to choose, it would be Nitro. When the wars started, I hadn't seen that much of WCW, and the then-WWF was starting to bore me. Even when things started to crumble in WCW, I would still watch for my favorites (cruiserweights, DDP, Kanyon, Booker T. Ernest Miller). I almost gave up on them after Benoit, Guerrero, Malenko, and Saturn left, but then they got interesting again when Bischoff and Russo came back together. Then it got bad again until Booker won the title. After that, I stayed 'til the end, as they finally got rid of the nWo and moved on with Booker, Steiner, Jarrett, Storm, Crowbar, The Filthy Animals, and the Natural Born Thrillers.

I had watched WWF originally, of course, before Nitro came on.

Then I'd watch Nitro and have someone tape RAW for me on the other TV.

Then I'd sometimes watch RAW, and tape the replay of Nitro. Depended totally on the mood I was in. I mainly watched Nitro over RAW though, though I wound up seeing em both anyway.

Back in mid to late 1998, I only watched WCW. I'd start Nitro at 8:00, then get in bed at 9:30 and fall asleep with Nitro on around 10. (Keep in mind I was only 9 at the time)

If I had to pinpoint an exact time, I'd say that I started watching WWF more than WCW by late 2000. Most of 1999 and 2000 was me hitting the "Last Channel" button.

Then came that night when I saw Vince McMahon at the start of Nitro. This was before I went online, so I knew nothing about WWF buying WCW. Most surreal night ever.

I would watch the first hour of Nitro, then turn to Raw early on. My grandma liked WCW so she would record it and I would go to her house and watch the rest of Nitro the next day. About '98/'99 though, I lost all intrest in WCW and only watched Raw. I can't seem to remember if I completely stopped watching WCW or if I would watch Thunder when it was uncontested on Wednsday night. I really can't imagine there being wrestling on and me not watching it (Despite how bad WCW was) but I can't remember ever really going out of my way to watch Thunder.

I used to joke that Nitro stood for "Not Interested Turner. Raw's On"

The sad thing is the WCW marks were right. Before HHH became champion, Raw had about two good matches(one great macth every once in a while). When HHH became champion, the wrestling pick up. Funny how people dissed HHH now.

WWE should release a special 2 or 3 disc extended edition of the Monday Night Wars DVD, with of course a shitload of better extras and maybe some more footage added to the actual documentary itself.

Or at least a 2-disc set commemorating the 10th anniversary of Nitro with a shitload of Nitro moments.

There's no way in hell WWE would do something like that with Bischoff on the staff, and if they did, it'd be full of so many lies that it wouldn't be worth watching. However, if they did a movie version of the Death of WCW, that'd be a different story.

I always liked WWF better. The only time I watched WCW was when Hulk Hogan first went there after leaving the WWF but I soon got bored of that.

I started watching wrestling during the wars, but I didn't have cable, so the only wrestling I saw was tapes of the shows from my friends, and even then I only watched Raw.

I've only seen one ep of Nitro to this day, and it was long after the company had folded. A friend of mine who also loves wrestling used to watch both shows, and he showed me a tape of Nitro when they were deep into the Russo era. I thought it was the most god aweful thing I had ever seen in my life. I didn't know who the people were, but I was damn sure that there was no way in hell David Flair could have ever had sex with Stacy Keibler, and I had no idea who the 14 year old midget (Rey Mysterio w/o the mask) was but knew damn well that he wasn't a draw.
