Laptop shopping.
I've got about $1,100 for a laptop because I'm soon going to college. Any suggestions as to what I should buy?

One thing that you want to make sure of is that you go with NO LESS than 512Megs of RAM. Also the Pentium M chip is pretty nice for laptops, and even desktops now as it runs with alot less juice. It really depends on what you're using it for. but I'd say a combination of good RAM and the M chip would do you nicely.

I have had a Toshiba Satellite for almost 3 years now, and it still runs great, but I did have to bump up the ram after 2 years of having it.
