Sound question

I believe this is the right place to ask this.

Alright, say I have a video of something on my computer, lets say a wrestling match. I open it, I play it with Media Player or Winamp or whatever. Is there anyway how I can make the video file a sound file? Like convert it so when I open it with Media Player or something it wont show the video, it will just play the sound? Thanks.

I know you can do it if you have video-editing software. I use Adobe Premiere when I make videos and it will put it into a video section and a sound section. There might be easier ways but I'm not too sure.
