Why the Hassan Gimmick works

A few weeks ago I was watching the Hassan promo that got taken off of SmackDown when a friend of mine came into the room. "What the fuck? Is that a Haji?" (or however you spell it) She was PISSED that I was listening to an "Arab."
You want more?

I downloaded Hassan's theme music and put it on CD. I listened to it in the parking lot at work during my lunch break and people gave me all of these dirty looks.

Hassan draws heat, heat means ratings. It's a stupid ass idea to drop Hassan. Let him come back to Raw and cut a promo about how he was to real for SmackDown and UPN, how they wanted to censor him and take away his rights....

Please don't go Hassan....

Granted, now that the Hassan character is no more, I will be putting on a CD and listening to it back to back for hours on end followed by "Candle in the Wind." Others may be confused though.

The promo video leading up to the Undertaker/Hassan match was some powerful stuff. There are SO many directions they can go with the character if it is allowed to continue, and it truly would be a shame for them to have to pull the plug. It's like he's being punished for making the most out of his gimmick.

Wrestling is not 'real'. It's entertainment. I just saw The Devil's Rejects in a theater, and I'd say the actions depicted in that were far more 'offensive' than Muhammad Hussan. Either way, I was entertained by both.

Anybody who gets offended by wrestling probably isn't mature enough to be entertained.
