Hey! Do you remember when the WWE writing team knew what they were doing?

Yah i dont either.

The writers have no fucking clue. It makes McMahon look like he has no clue. Its pretty pathetic to be honest. Kind of sad how far the mighty have fell. Its like they dont even think about what they are doing anymore. I know its a funny joke to say " Oh we arent suppose to remember that " , but honestly. Its sad that we even have to say that. That tells you right there that the writers dont know what the hell they are doing.

Almost everything thats been written in the past 3 years have been illogical. Makes no sense. Orlando Jordan as US Champ? Burying Christian as far as they possibly can when its so obvious that people in the arena love him, nevermind the fact that the smarks love him. Taking Hassan's charachter off. Comon are you serious?

I'd love to meet the jackass that said " Hey whats Animal doing ? " or the guy who said " We need a competition. I know ! Masterlock!"

This shit is so pathetic i cant even watch the shows anymore. Its sucks too because every once in a while they throw a great match on there like Benjamin vs Michael and i miss it, but honestly... Its become so bad that its not even worth two hours of my life to sit and watch for a great match like that. I've been a wrestling fan for 16 years. You just dont grow out of something that you've been a fan of for 16 years. Something has to happen to make you not wanna watch wrestling anymore. That something is the lack of effort show by this business period. Its not worth it anymore. Especially in the age of spoliers . I can come to this site and read the spoilers and look at all the horrible telivision i'm missing. And i dont miss it. Diva contests, Masterlock competition, two or three match programs with none of them getting as much as a star in my book. Sometimes i wonder if Vince McMahon even realises this stuff. Does he even see what his company has become? Its become shit.

The best part is that some fans still put up with this shit and watch. Then buy ppv's figuring the good stuff will be worth all the bad stuff they put up with for 4 weeks. Only to watch the Main Event end in a DQ. Thats fucking pathetic.

I dont waste my time with the programs anymore. I read the spoilers. I wont watch a program again. If i miss a match. I'll download it, but until they fire that whole creative team ( which arent creative at all ) I wont be watching.

It dont matter who did what to who at this point. The fact is, we went to war. And now there aint no going back. It's what war is you know? Once you're in it, you're in it. If it's a lie, then we fight on that lie, but we gotta fight!

Everything went downhill after Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara left. It is that event that changed the face of pro wrestling and brought us to the shitfest we all have to sit through today. I will debate this with anyone.

I thought they were the reason WCW was destroyed from within, since they were full of shit when it came to what they REALLY did in WWF.

I marked out like a mutha when they showed up on WCW for the first time because of what "they did" (or didn't do) with WWF storylines, but if you watch the "Monday Night Wars" DVD, they rip both of them new assholes (and Russo didn't last in TNA either).

downhill? how? vince russo is a maggot. his crappy midget, mtv jackass style was retarded. then he moves to wcw takes ALL the guys away who pull in fans and replace them with lance storm, jeff jarrett and the harris bros. kill off Michael Buffer and the Nitro girls (which were 2 things that made wcw different) and just rant about vince mcmahon all the time. Russo is a joke! PERIOD! he killed wcw in a few months. David Arquette was russo at his finest

I was talking about the WWF/E and how the departure of Russo and Ferrara has hurt them more than we could truly comprehend at the time, and that tidal wave that has carried into the present - not how great Russo was for WCW. That was a ship that took 3 years to sink - he was only the captain for the last one.

I honestly believe the past is the past. Its what needs to change in the future and McMahon obviously is blinded towards this fact. The only consistancy in the WWE is...

1) JBL's heel run
2) Triple H's power
3) Random boob contests
4) And alot of shitty charachters and gimmicks that change over night.
5) Oh yah and RvD is still being held down. I dont care if he's injured. Give him a commentator job for the short future til he's ready. He'll tear it up.

Heyman rots in the OVW while Vince's product rots on TV . The only difference between the two is that Heyman will make OVW alot more entertaining. Instead of actually being on tv and doing good shit. Which he would be doing if he was involved in the creative process. But no lets get the screen play writer of DareDevil hired or something. I'm sure he'll sprout wings out of Kanes ass and give him some handicap issue like making him blind or deaf or something. Hey maybe they'll sprout the stick out of his ass while there at it. Then we can see bad ass Kane again instead of pussy Kane that gets walked on and gets his ass kicked all the time. If Heyman was on the creative team, Kane , Benoit, Regal , RvD ,and Christian wouldnt be someones bitch anymore.

Listen. You give me Kane , Benoit, Regal , RvD, Christian. Throw in all the talent they just cut ( YES ALL OF THEM ). Give me a TV deal. I would tear the WWE up. My point being that WWE and the writers have no clue what so ever.

I seriously think everyday that TNA gets closer and closer to the WWE. With this TV deal on the horizon. They are gunna do some shit. I think they will catch up. Maybe not beat the WWE , but they will catch up. With talents like Chris Daniels, Styles , Abyss , Hell even X-pac is more entertaining then half of the WWE's roster. Thats pretty sad. I've gained respect for X-pac all of a sudden. That would have never happend if WWE actually put out a decent product. The shittier WWE's product gets. The more respect TNA will get and when they get on TV. Look out.

Yeah, I laughed at the idea of X Pac in TNA at first, but he's proven himself to me again and again.

WWE can't think longterm. The only long term thinking they have is Triple H. They refuse to push Christian for some moronic reason that I can't even begin to fathom.

X pac is probably looking better because he's facing opponents who wrestle the same style.

Think about it, the WWF had

X pac V Kane

X pac V Rock

X pac V Road Dogg

X pac V HHH

so on and so on while TNA has/ can have

X pac V Styles

X pac V Daniels

X pac V Sabin

X pac V Williams

and so on.

Xpac is now wrestling in an enviroment more suited to someone like him, and is wrestling opponents that will complement his style.

Im not saying Big man V Little man can't work, it can i.e; Sabin V Joe, but when you have someone like X pac continuesly facing people bigger than him, who use a completely differant style of course he won't look that good when you compare them to something like Styles V X pac.

Ok I think I made my point

Not to turn this into a X-Pac lovefest ( cause i dont like him that much ), but when i saw him in that six man cage match thing. I laughed, but now. I'm warming up to X-Pac. He's always been a great ring worker and they seem to be keeping him off the mic so he wont look like a idiot again and its working.

Getting back to the point of this thread...

The writers are shit because Vince hires guys who are not involved in the actual wrestling business. I keep hearing about how so-and-so and who's-his-face have just been hired as writers...and they have NO EXPERIENCE WITH WRESTLING. If it were that simple to get a job as a booker, hell, hire my sister. She likes Shawn Michaels but just can't stand watching the actual product.

So maybe Vince will let her push HBK to the top again and he'll never lose the title. "Oh, there are other guys on the roster? Never heard of 'em. Just let HBK beat them so he can look good."

I Remember a classic Indy feud between Lightning Kid (X-Pac) and Jerry Lynn. The guy can work, he just never was used to his fullest.

Then we have a guy like Ron Killings, who McMahon had no idea what to do with.

It's odd, how can somebody have perhaps the two greatest minds in Wrestling (Cornette and Heyman) on their payroll, and the product is constantly getting run by people who have no idea about Wrestling. Like Steve Austin said, there wouldn't have been an "Austin 3:16" in this environment.

not to mention, UPN happened.

SmackDown was thought to have been given the shaft, but with the line up of Batista, JBL, Hassan, Orton, all the up and comers...including Christian, the show had potential.

It's clear that they hire writers that have never even seen a wrestling match. But that doesn't surprise me. Just look at the wwe fans. Most of them are young teenage boys that have been watching wrestling for a few months and forget what happened a month ago.
These stupid moronis kids don't want to see good wrestling full of innovation and intensity. They want to see 2 dumb women with fake tits rolling around the ring with each other. Why hire writers that will create good feuds and matches when a lot of the fans don't care for good feuds and matches?
Yes i am also excited for TNA. They have some great talent and their PPVs somewhat remind me of WWE PPVs when WWE was in its prime.

Although I still find things to enjoy about RAW (Carlito, HBK, Angle, Benjamin, the Hardy saga) and SmackDown (Hassan , MNM, the Eddie/Rey feud, Christian, the Mexicools); I spend way more time and energy thinking about NCW. WWE would do well to hire writers the caliber of NoJabbaNoBogRoll, Corkscrewed, Marcyo, Cool King, and Shaggy.

Russo became an asshole when he thought he was the sole reason for the WWE's success. By leaving the company, he though he left them high and dry and let his ego take over WCW.

The SS WCW had many holes in its hull....but Russo made sure it nailed every iceberg on the way out.
