what's the deal with Half Life 2?

So, I'm like half an hour after you get your first rifle machine gun and this game is boring me to shit. (which is like about 2 hours of gameplay)

The graphics aren't that spectacular either. They're ok at best. Also, the fact that everytime you pick up something and see it floating in the air like you got some psi-powers is just another major flaw. This feels like I'm playing Red Faction.

BTW, I never played the first one, but as far as "gaming" is concerned, this is just terribly dissapointing.

So is this what the game will be like throughout?

IM PLAYING IT ON XBOX BTW.

Yeah I was pretty disappointed in the whole thing. Especially the story. The graphics are nice on computer where they can really shine but nothing great right now. Doesn't get much different.

Ports are never as good as the real thing.

And I loved both games. The gravity gun made it fun enough for me all the way through.

Must be a matter of taste, but it is my favorite game of all time. I'm sure the fact that you didn't play the first one has something to do with it too, because I thought the combination of the two had the best story of any game. Also, the PC version is much better.

Probably one of the greatest single player FPS games ever. Fuck Halo (even Halo 1) compared to Half-life 2. I love it.. the story, the graphics, the gameplay. I've never played it on console, but on PC it's one of the best games ever.

I dunno, I think the graphics are pretty incredible, I especially love what they did with the engine on Counter-Strike Source.

Again, call me a fanboy, but I think the graphics on PC are still better than anything else out there. Maybe not technically speaking, but artistically its phenominal
