The Glass Set

Probably interest a few people round here. Sounds like : Metric, Ladytron, Joy Division, the Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Blondie, The Pixies, Dismemberment Plan, Brian Eno, My Bloody Valentine, Medicine With self-proclaimed similarities like that, how can you go wrong? “There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”--John Rogers |

Ladytron and the Pixies don't exactly sound alike. Are they really that diverse?

Never heard Ladytron.
You can hear elements of the Pixies in this music, but the Joy Division/Cure/Siouxsie and the Banshees comparisons are more apt and obvious. |
