mp3 player problem
ok, so I've got this mp3 player and when I first got it I installed the drivers and everything and it was all fine. When I went to my computer it gave me a new drive I guess cause of the usb port and I just clicked and draged the songs onto that drive and it uploaded to the player. Well now when I went to add more songs to it I connected it to the usb port and everything and now I can't do anything. I can't add songs for some reason, like my mp3 player isself says it's connected to the usb but there's no response on the other end at the computer. Is there a way I can check whats connected to my usb ports? Also I reinstalled the drivers and everything and still nothing... any help would be greatly appreciated

Hmm, sounds fairly similar to the problem I had, but it's hard to say if the way I fixed it would work on your player, since it's a totally different make.
When it happened to me, a bad file had somehow corrupted the player. Have a look in your manual and see if there's any mention of system tool type stuff... specifically an equivalent option to Scandisk that you'd find on a PC. If it's some sort of storage error, that should fix it. Then it'd just be a question of finding out which file knackered the player in the first place. ![]() There's also the option of formatting the player, which is more drastic, and harder to fix. And if you can't do any of those things, I suggest getting in touch with the manufacturer. ![]() |

If it doesn't work on the other computer it'll definately be a problem with the player itself.

sometimes it can the usb port itself. I have known digital cameras to not work properly when plugged into an extended port (like at the front of the comp) rather than a true usb port (at the back, off the mother board, not in a slot).
Most things dont care what port they are plugged into, some are a little more picky about it. So try changing the port you plug it into, change to a true USB port. ![]() I am the Law |

I'll give you a hint. Return it. RCA Lyra's are shit, I would know because I made the mistake of buying one a long time ago. Transferring is much harder than it needs to be, and you can barely hold any songs at all.

throw it at some bricks and then put the bricks and the mp3 player in a pillow case and throw it at a car
