Is each season just the happenings of a few people in a day of a given week or what? Of does it jump between a few days over a period of time like a month or year?

pretty sweet, looking forward to it.

also, time passes between each season, so a season is only one episode but the time between seasons is real life time or longer (so 8-20 months)

Each episode is one hour within one day. It involves Jack Bauer trying to stop some terrorist plot about to go down. So there are, obviously, 24 episodes per season.

The seasons are spread out though. Like this coming season is 20 months after the end of season 5.

Don't know why but that made me remember an interview I read where Keifer said that for the opening of Season 5, they were playing with the idea of opening the first episode of Jack coming out of the bathroom, in his pyjamas and a sandwich in his hand, but obviously they cut it because they felt 24 couldn't have humour in it.

intense but amazing opening 4 episodes of 24. I heard rumours that Asad on 24, the one who Curtis was attempting to kill is supposed to be the real bad guy, and Jack really helped the enemy, plus Jack shot Curtis, and he could be blind. lol, Jack screwed it all up, it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Kinda upsets me how Jack has turned into such a bitch (killing Curtis).

That really doesnt make much sense considering Asad would have been blown to pieces had it not been for Jack escaping and telling him that CTU was coming in for an airstrike. I hope this doesnt turn out to be the case.
