Who is the best team player/good sport in wrestling
You know, who puts up with more shitty angles and is still over. My vote goes for Booker T then Kane comes in a close second.

Booker T definately gets my vote, by a mile over anybody else.
Kane HAS put up with some shit though. Perry Saturn's mop crap was something else too, but I wouldnt say he's over or anything now... ![]() And D-Lo Brown getting stuck with Mark Henry... |

Kane I would go with over Booker. At least Booker has had a title run, title match at wrestlemania, and king of the ring runs in there.
Also...Val Venis...but hes not quite over as the others |

I'd like to give some honorable mention props to Jericho. He's been rewarded in his time, so he doesn't rank with Booker, Kane, or some others, but he's still taken a lot of crap.

Yeah with Booker, it seems like they are trying their best to bury the guy forever (why, I don't know other than he was WCW). But despite their best efforts, he comes through shining. It is almost as if Booker takes it as a challenge to get over despite crappy characters.

How over would Booker be if he had actually been PUSHED instead of some many burial attempts? Do you think it would have made a difference? I mean, he's pretty big as it is now, but would he have been Rock/Austin-like had he been treated right?

You guys, do we really need to praises these guys (Kane, Booker, Jericho, etc.) who made millions upon millions of dollars over the years or doing their job? They may not have had the best booked careers, but they got paid top dollar for their work, and in a business, the almighty dollar speaks louder than anything.
See I could see someone like Val Venis or D'Lo Brown getting an "alright you did good man" attitude with them over coming things, because at least they wern't walking out with high six figure saleries. And I have to admit, I've always had a sot spot of D'Lo not to mention while WCW was trying their hardest to get him, he turned them all down to remain loyal...then shortly after WCW was bought up he was let go. Nice guys. ![]() |

Yeh, I will never understand why D'Lo got the axe and has since disappeared into the abyss (not the one in TNA). I think he could have potentially been a main eventer.
Speaking of TNA, how has he never wound up there? Does he still wrestle? I'm suprised TNA wouldn't bring him in, it would clusterfuck their main event scene up even more but he would be a talented performer and useful addition to their roster, IMO. |

My immediate thought was Jericho.
Graned he's had runs with the title etc but as far as I know he's never complained about jobbing to anyone. But I guess that same can be said about Kane and Booker. I'd even say Regal should get a mention. |

Come on now. Why should Regal get a mention? It's not like they asked the guy to kiss a 50+ year old man's bare ass on national live television or anything.

The following men I agree with:
Kane William Regal Val Venis Booker T is a great sport. He was the man in WCW, and he should have been a top face opposite Stone Cold Steve Austin when he was signed in 2001, but they dropped the ball. However, it's not like the man hasn't had his moments in the WWE. Two World Championships have been won by Booker in World Wrestling Entertainment (his fifth WCW Title was won during the Invasion thing), and he's racked up four Tag Team Title wins (I think), an IC Title win, two Hardcore Title wins, and I'm not sure how many US Title wins (more than one). He's also been made King of the Ring. Booker is definitely a great sport, and I have a ton of respect for the man, but I think he can live with his rewards. As The One mentioned, Kane has probably been making a lot of cash. I just admire the guy for not turning into a dick who politics himself into World Title reigns. Regal is a great sport, who was rumoured to have been fired from WCW because he was too good for the football player they were trying to push. That's gotta sting. You're unable to make a living in your profession because you're "too good." In the WWE they love to embarrass Regal, becaue he's good at it. They don't seem to balance it out too often, though, you know, with credibility? I enjoyed his last run near the top on SmackDown!, and hopefully he gets another shot soon. I won't go into too much Venis, because people get sick of me talking about him, but here is the scoop on the guy: He studied philanthropy in the UK, moved back to Canada, trained to be a wrestler, and was offered contracts by both WWE and WCW. Even though WCW allegedly offered him more money, he chose to work for the Federation. Part of me thinks that initially proven loyalty is why Sean Morley has lasted so long. He has gotten his pushes, but they haven't been consistent enough for him to really latch on. He joined the Right to Censor, and that stable went nowhere fast. It was entertaining, but I think all serious aspirations for them went out the window after Bull Buchanan and The Goodfather dropped the World Tag Team Titles. Then he took some time off, and came back as the porn star, and initially they fucked up by having him return in the Royal Rumble match against Stone Cold Steve Austin. Very clever. Since then he has gotten his half-pushes, but the writers these days don't seem to realise the guy should have been on the rise, rather than on the fall. Lance Storm apparently believes that the reason Morley hasn't got any recent pushes is because he is "too nice." Start being a cunt Morley. You can play politics on radio, play them in the business and get your due. |

An update on D'Lo Brown:
The man is still in the wrestling business. He's actually about to team up with Buchanan (Bull Buchanan and B-2 in the WWE) in Pro Wrestling NOAH to challenge for the GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Championship. I've forgotten the names of the current holders of the belts, and I'm too lazy to chase them up, but they are apparently Japanese wrestling legends, and they won the Titles from Takeshi Morishima and his partner, if I recall. There isn't much chance Buchanan and Brown will walk away with the Titles, but their stable is getting a bit of exposure in NOAH. They are apart of some Kaientai-based unit called "LO&D", or some shit. I don't follow it really well. But I think TAKA Michinoku is their leader, and recently Morishima defended the ROH World Championship against a member of their stable, KAZMA. So yeah, to answer the question about what D'Lo Brown is doing these days, he's one of the top gaijins over in Japan. |

Val Venis is still on the roster as mainly a measuring stick. Like the Brooklyn Brawler was in the 80s, and 90s. Of course the Brawlers only claim to fame is a clean win over Triple H, whereas Val has had several IC title reigns,
