TNA needs to change their name...
Seriously. Aside from the "oh, haha, I get it, tits and ass " response, even with "wrestling" at the end it's a really shitty name for a national promotion. It sounds more like a low-level indy promotion to me, especially when the name that it goes by doesn't indicate WHAT kind of action someone will be seeing.

I don't know, it's been bugging me for a while and with the prospect of them expanding in the not-too-distant future it's bugging me now.

Though I admit that changing their name now would be stupid on the name recognition aspect, I still don't see a name like "TNA" as being something serious.

Discuss I guess.

RoH atr least gives the smarks what they want. TNA doesn't even really do that, though it seems to pander to them. ROH isn't exactly going to break WWE any time soon, but to say TNA is better....

Oh, and NO WAY is TNA better than the promotion that brought you Nick Mondo.

LMAO! Most of these attempts to make fun of TNA are so lame...they're funny. I hope that was the point.

But yes, they do need to change their name. I'd go with something a little different from the norm. I like the names of Ring of Honor, Pro Wrestling NOAH, Dragon Gate and CHIKARA. Maybe they should just come up with something like that, rather than a boring abbreviation.

I think they're called TNA for the same reason that Barenaked Ladies have their name. If you're a casual passerby and you see that on a marquee, you're slightly more inclined to drop in for a least a second.
