An idea for Jamie Noble

With the steroid controversy, and all that jazz, the WWE should really start thinking about pushing smaller guys. Jamie Noble is probably one of the most capable at working the WWE style. He's got a great mat sense, and he's got a type of tenacious charisma about him, that allows you to believe he could methodically pick apart a bigger opponent. A Shannon Moore doesn't have that (as much fun as Shannon is...to sex the vagina of...and watch fly around the ring...both ways), as decent as he is.

Anyway, here is the skinny of the idea, because I know most of you are too lazy to read: Jamie Noble becomes Vince McMahon's "attack dog," even going as far as to bring back "The Pit Bull" moniker.

Here is the longer version:

At Unforgiven, Vince McMahon comes out and talks about how embarrassed he is by Hornswoggle being a McMahon, and he won't see a dime, because he can't be categorised as a human being, let alone a McMahon. Hornswoggle then comes out, accompanied to the ring by Finlay. Vince looks a little worried at Finlay's involvement here, and his worry is justified, because Finlay gets in Vince's face and tells him that he trained Hornswoggle, and served as a father to him when no one else was there for him. Finlay tells Vince that Hornswoggle is going to get what he's owed, and Finlay is going to make sure of it.

Cue Jamie Noble's music, who comes down to the ring, wearing his anti-leprachaun shirt, and he tells Vince that he says Vince shouldn't be taking any of this. Noble asks Vince to make a match between him and Hornswoggle for the Cruiserweight Championship right now, and he can embarrass Hornswoggle for being born. Vince agrees, and we get Hornswoggle vs. Jamie Noble for the Cruiserweight Championship, with Finlay cheering on Hornswoggle from ringside, while Vince sits on a chair amused. Noble pretty much kills Hornswoggle, and wins the Championship, to Vince's delight. Noble then goes to beat up Hornswoggle some more, but Finlay gets in the ring and chases off Noble. Vince then tells Noble that he's not done, and tells Noble to do the same to Finlay. "Earn my favour! Get back in there! Earn my favour!" Jamie Noble looks a little overwhelmed, but he eagerly runs back into the ring at Vince's orders, and takes a beating from Finlay.

The referee is still in there, as Vince tells him it's a match. Finlay dominates Noble, and then decides to just bust out the shillelagh, and club Noble with it for the disqualification. Finlay just wants to hurt Noble. He puts up the Cruiserweight Champion for the Celtic Cross, but Vince gets in the ring, and Finlay drops Noble and stares down Vince, only for Noble to low blow Finlay, and then drop him with the shillelagh. Vince then gets in the ring, and puts the Cruiserweight Title around Jamie Noble's waist himself.

The next night on RAW, Jamie Noble gets to accompy Vince McMahon to the show, and he even gets to join Vince and Jonathan Coachman in their office. Noble is then allowed to go for a walk by Vince, and bumps into Jeff Hardy. Jamie Noble gets in Jeff Hardy's face as he is giving an interview, and Jamie Noble tells Jeff that he is the Cruiserweight Champion, which makes him the best wrestler 225lbs or under (JBL mentioned that this was the weight limit on SmackDown! recently). Noble then says he's been listening to Jeff Hardy's ring announcements, and checking up on his stats, and that Hardy is technically a cruiserweight, and seeing as Noble is the Cruiserweight Champion that makes him better than Jeff Hardy. Noble says that means he deserves an IC Title shot.

Noble goes to Coach's office, and demans the title shot. Coach says that Noble is from SmackDown!, so he can't do it, but Vince gets up and talks down to Coach for disrespecting his attack dog. He tells Coach to make the match, and Coach agrees. Jeff Hardy vs. Jamie Noble for the Intercontinental Championship tonight. Noble says that he is bringing more gold home to Mr. McMahon. Jamie Noble brings the best match he can out of Jeff Hardy, and the end comes when Jeff Hardy goes for the Swanton Bomb, and Noble gets his knees up, and then rolls Hardy over into the Dragon Sleeper 2.0 for the submission win. Jamie Noble is now the Cruiserweight Champion and Intercontinental Champion. Jamie Noble then gets on the mic, and says he is going for the ECW Championship next. World Champion or not, CM Punk is 222lbs, and under the cruiserweight limit, which means Noble is better than him, and he's coming for his belt, boy.

On Sci-Fi, Jamie Noble faces CM Punk for the ECW Championship, and Joey Styles points out that although Jamie Noble claims to have a right to these Championships because he is Cruiserweight Champion, he doesn't actually put his belt on the line in his matches. Tazz points out that it's because Noble earned the favour of the Chairman, and Noble has put himself in a good position because of it. Noble puts on a great match with Punk, but eventually gets hit with the Go To Sleep for the loss. Styles and Tazz can point out that Noble put up a good fight, but Punk is just the better man. Tazz can side with Noble a bit, pointing out that it was his fifth official match of the week, and only Punk's second.

What does this accomplish? Firstly, it gets a smaller guy over somewhat, which is good in the current climate. Secondly, Noble was recently promoted to a road agent/producer role. While it isn't an unwritten law, it would probably be good if the producers could command the respect of the lockerroom. While I'm sure they know how good Noble is, a bit of a push to his name kind of puts things into perspective a little for them, and makes it much easier for them to fall in line. Thirdly, I think it would be interesting to see Vince get a smaller guy to do his dirty work. I can just imagine Noble going nuts with a steel chair on bigger guys, and then leaving the ring angry and focused, with Vince just standing behind him looking down at him, half proud, half amused.

So yeah, it's basically a "Jet Li from Unleashed" gimmick, with Vince McMahon in the Bob Hoskins role.

I was thinking earlier how well the Hornswoggle McMahon angle could be used to get Noble over!

Suffice to it was only a thought.

I like the whole Vince's pitbull idea, I just found the bit where he becomes Cruiserweight and IC Champ a little far-fetched. The rest though
